Game-Team Tournament

In an attempt of putting up a cooperative learning lesson we were asked to choose a certain structure and adopt a lesson accordingly. It was a math lesson and so we applied the game-team tournament method. The whole plan needs a certain preparation in advance the teacher must prepare for he students question cards that they need to work with, say if a team is divided to three people on will be the quizzer, the second a responder and the third a recorder, the turn will rotate so that students could play all three roles. the session in theory is a 55 min long and so the time was scheduled as following:
- the teacher would explain the rules in the first five minutes.
- Students must be familiar with the whole teamwork process and have tried simpler activities before.
- The teacher will give students about 5 min to regroup and revise the data.
- The students will be assigned to the tournament teams and the process will begin.
- The teacher will begin the timer for the first round and the activity will begin.
- The second round will begin when the teacher give the signal and they'll have another 10 min.
- The same process repeat itself in the third round and students will once again have 10 min.
- After the activity is over the teacher will announce the results and reveal the winner.
